This was my second album. At the time I had no real idea or direction for it. I just started writing weird songs. Then it got cold. Then it got very cold. Then, some of the windows of the house got smashed. The gas heater we had quickly became our little hang out and we'd sit and smoke and stare into those little flames wishing we weren't such losers. You can hear my roommates closing and opening the refrigerator door and using the toaster to make breakfast on one of the songs or ....some of the songs. The warm vapor of my breath was visible while recording most of the vocals. Me and my buddy Matt were pretty low-down at this point, resorting to writing cryptic semi-coherent messages over the plywood that almost covered the windows.

As the name might suggest, this latest LP from experimental duo Isolated Community is full of a sense of haunting uneasiness. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 24, 2023
Stark, slightly spooky songs from this Asheville musician, with guitars as bare as winter trees and eerie, distant vocals. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 16, 2021
